The Lino Spiteri Foundation has set up an advisory council made up of representatives of the sectors which the Foundation is focussing on as its mission. The Foundation believes that it is the people from the sector that should drive the strategies of the organisation. The various sectors represented by the Council include:
Disability – intellectual disability, learning difficulty and autism
Mental Health and other related areas
Poverty and social exclusion
The Council is chaired by one of the Trustees of the Foundation and meets regularly in order to evaluate the current service levels, demand, opportunities for growth and the general strategic advice based on their extensive knowledge of their sectors.
The LSF will be guided by the Advisory Council on the strategic direction of the foundation. In order for an organisation to be invited on the council, it must be an experienced service provider in employment or employability in their respective sector. NGOs meeting these criteria and wishing to form part of the Council can contact the Executive Director of the LSF for more information.
