Over 1,000 People Supported into Employment by the Lino Spiteri Foundation

Over the past decade, the Lino Spiteri Foundation has played an important role in helping persons with disabilities access meaningful employment. According to a recent feature by TVM News, the Foundation has supported more than 1,700 individuals on their journey toward employment, with over 1,000 successfully securing jobs.

Through its training programmes and employment support services, the Foundation works closely with both jobseekers and employers to ensure successful integration into the workplace. Each year, hundreds of participants receive training aimed at building the skills and confidence needed to enter the world of work.

At the Foundation’s centre in Msida, trainees take part in programmes such as Headstart, where they develop practical workplace skills, computer literacy, and important life skills that prepare them for employment. Participants highlighted how the programme helps them gain confidence and feel ready for future opportunities.

The Foundation’s work also extends to Gozo, where support is currently being provided to more than 60 persons with disabilities.

Employers who have collaborated with the Foundation have also shared positive experiences, noting the value that employees with disabilities bring to their teams and expressing willingness to continue expanding inclusive hiring practices.

Today, the Lino Spiteri Foundation has evolved into an academy offering MQF Level 4 qualifications, further strengthening employment opportunities for its trainees and supporting their long-term career development.

Through its programmes, partnerships with employers, and ongoing support services, the Foundation continues to help persons with disabilities enter the workforce with dignity, confidence, and opportunity.
